Dresser
Here's the beautiful dresser I made for my oldest from these plans. We plan on painting the whole thing white. And, just like any little kid, we still can never get her to keep the drawers closed!

My mom and I made the canopy out of 10 yards of tulle (I think), green ribbon, and pretty pink felt. We got the shape from a styrofoam bowl underneath the petals.

Girly's Room Accessories
Here's the fun braided rug for Abby's room. I LOVE how it turned out! 
And how could you possibly get any better than this over-the-top girly lamp? For this, I just bought a cheap lamp and lampshade from Walmart and a bunch of flowers that I really liked that matched the room. Then, pull the plastic parts off of the flowers, but try to maintain the shape of them. Then just hot glue the flowers all the way around the shade.

Your arms will get really tired and it will drive you mental. Trust me. Especially if your rags keep getting tangled. But it's worth it -- for a little one. Oh, and to finish, I just spun the whole thing into my rug shape, then took a needle and thread and sewed the rows together.

Painting Girly's Room
My oldest daughter wanted her room decorated like a Pottery Barn catalog for her birthday. At the time, she had this really old school elf wallpaper that had holes and coloring marks all over it. It really had to go! So, we stripped it all down and cleaned the walls. Then we got our chalk line out so we could know where to paint white and where to paint pink.

After we chalked, we realized we had some other holes to fix that we had missed!
It was funny. When we first removed all the wall paper, I really thought the walls were white, but apparently not. The bottom is bright white and the top is still waiting for the pink.
And here it is! I still plan on putting up some pretty trim boards, but that's going to take some time.
For the pink, we just took in a quilt I was working on and had them color match it.

Another beautiful Knock Off Wood project! We really needed some side tables in our tv room, but I'm still too cheap to buy any and I couldn't find any good ones on KSL, so I built one of Ana's beautiful designs! This is called the Tryde Side Table. It's based on one you can find at Pottery Barn for $199!!! I, naturally, would NEVER spend that kind of money on something like this, so I built one instead. It cost $20 and only took about two hours to finish. Much better.

So, I love it, but there's a problem. It doesn't match the big area rug I bought for the tv room!!! So now I have to re-stain it! Oh well, it's beautiful and fun anyway. I'll post the pictures with the corrected color later!

Sacred Grove Pictures
With that big open space above my entertainment center, I knew I needed something to help fill it! I've always wanted pictures of historical LDS church sites and I thought the Sacred Grove would be perfect here! One of my friends took these pictures on his trip there and I played with the colors a little in Photoshop to get something I really liked. 
What do you think? I'm not sure it's just the right thing yet, though.

The entertainment center finally put all together! I still plan on staining it and decorating it with beautiful baskets. See, isn't the tv room much improved already? Now we just need new carpet!
